Coronavirus Outbreak In Ghana Is NDC’s Last Prayer To Cancel New Voters’ Registration – NDC Communications Officer-Kwaku Boahen

A deputy communication officer of the National Democratic Congress, Mr. Anthony Kwaku Boahen has retorted that the continuous spread of the lethal virus, Coronavirus around the globe will be the trump card his party will rely on for the cancellation of the new voters’ registration exercise the Electoral Commission(EC) intends operationalizing.

“Why should we risk our lives to this fruitless exercise at all cost when the world is leading awareness to halt social gatherings and convergence of the masses?” Kwaku Boahen asked.

“As NDC, we will rely on the outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus, to urge the Electoral Commission(EC) to stop the new registration exercise” he added.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) and it’s allied forces have kicked against the compilation of a new voters’ register for the 2020 general election, claiming that it is a menacing move by the Electoral Commission (EC) to rig the 2020 elections for the ruling New Patriotic Party.

The NDC’s opposition to the compilation of a new voters’ register had led to a plethora of demonstration, in Tamale, Kumasi, and Accra to protest against the Electoral Commission’s decision to compile a fresh roll for the election.
