Ghanaian gospel musician, Grace Ashy has swiped away rumours of receiving 150million cedis before composing the cheer songs for the senior national soccer team, The Black Stars of Ghana.
Grace Ashy has contributed a lot of support and efforts to Black Stars and her songs always rises the feelings and support of Ghanaians for Black Stars.
Speaking in an interview with Sports Obama on Angel Sports as they celebrate the 14years that Ghana qualified to their maiden section of World Cup in Germany 2006, she claimed that nobody did not even call her to give any amount of money before composing the cheer songs for Black Stars.
“Wherever Nyantakyi is, this issue is between him and his God and if I have even received one coin from them God is our judge. It hasn’t happened before.
“Dr. Kofi Nsia who was then a secretary wrote a letter that they shouldn’t give me the visa to Germany and later approached someone to compose a song for the Black Stars but through God mine was already chosen as the official song.
“Black Stars did not even pay any of my tickets to go and watch world cup matches and I never received any money from anyone but it was to boost the feelings and support. Even President J.A Kuffour commended me for doing that and that’s attracted Ghanaian women to also have a passion for Black Stars.
“Black Stars should have even bought a mansion for me.
“I recorded the songs and the videos with my own money.” She claimed.
