Coronavirus: Upper West Akim NPP donates to Health Centres,Markets,Police Station and Okada Stations within the Constituency

The Leadership of the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Upper West Akim Constituency of the Eastern Region has today April 2,2020 donated PPEs to Centres within the Constituency.

Mr.Fredrick Adom Obeng, the Parliamentary Candidate presented the items on behalf of the Party. He was accompanied by the Constituency Chairman, Nana Addei Obuobi, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Eugene Sackey, a number of Council of Elders, Patrons, Constituency Executives and Executives of the Movement for Adom.

The items comprises Veronica buckets, liquid soaps, bowls, tissues, hand sanitizers and nose masks.The donation was first made to the District Health Directorate on behalf of the health facilities in the Constituency which include the Adeiso Health Centre and all other CHPS Compounds,then to the District Police Headquarters, GPRTU, Adeiso Market, Okada Stations, the Palace and many other Centres.

Speaking At the event, Mr. Fredrick Adom Obeng said the donation was inspired by the need to see to it that Constituents do not get infected with the fast spreading virus,coronavirus.

“We’ve all heard of the deadly Covid-19 and since Adeiso is part of the World we need to put preventive measures in place so we wouldn’t get a case”.he said.

“…that’s why NPP as a Party has decided to donate this items to you…”,he added.

The beneficiaries expressed their profound gratitude to the Party for such a kind donation and promised to make good use of the items to help prevent the spread of the virus.

The donation is expected to be extended to the other Communities in the Constituency such as Kumikrom, Asuokaw, Okurase and others.

Ghana has as of today recorded 204 cases of which one has been recorded in the Eastern Region.
